GetPartFound helps people identify and source replacement parts. This page describes what the service collects and why, in plain language.
What we collect
- Searches and part descriptions you type. We store search terms and the descriptions you enter so we can measure which parts people look for that our catalog does not yet cover. This directly drives which manufacturers and distributors we work to add.
- Photos you upload. If you use photo identification, the image is sent to our identification provider to be analyzed and is stored with your scan so you can review the result. Do not upload photos containing people, documents, or anything else you would not want retained.
- Which buy links you click. We record clicks on retailer links to understand demand and to attribute affiliate referrals.
- Basic technical data. A randomly generated device identifier (not tied to your name), your IP address, and standard web server logs. The device identifier exists to apply usage limits fairly, not to profile you.
We do not ask for your name, address, or payment details, and we do not have accounts on this site. Purchases happen on the seller's own website under their privacy policy, not ours.
How we use it
- To return search and identification results.
- To decide which parts and brands to add to the catalog.
- To apply rate and spend limits that keep the service available.
- To attribute affiliate referrals to eBay Partner Network.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not serve third-party advertising.
Who else is involved
- eBay. Listing images, prices and buy links come from eBay's official API. Clicking a buy link takes you to eBay, where their terms and privacy policy apply.
- AI identification provider. Photos and descriptions submitted for identification are processed by a third-party model provider to produce a result.
- Hosting. The site runs on commercial hosting infrastructure that keeps standard access logs.
Retention and your choices
Search terms and click records are kept in aggregate form to inform catalog coverage. Uploaded photos and scan results are kept so results remain viewable; you can ask us to delete yours. To request deletion of your data, or to ask what we hold, email support@getpartfound.com and include the approximate date and what you searched for or uploaded.
Children
This service is intended for adults sourcing equipment parts and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we will update this page and the date at the top. This site is in an early preview; expect this page to become more detailed as the product does.
